George Harrison : Electronic Sound CD
The Beatles’ "anything goes" Zapple label put out this 1969 LP. George painted the cover art, which depicts himself playing his prized Moog IIIP synthesizer—the same machine he’d employ on "Abbey Road." The side-long "Under the Mersey Wall" and "No Time or Space" still captivate; new essays by Dhani Harrison and the Chemical Brothers’ Tom Rowlands explore the inspiration, creation and hypnotic effect of these remarkable electronic experiments, which Harrison never carried out again.
